Envy Self Role Bot

This utility bot lets members pick their own roles from a drop-down menu attached to an embed message. Staff set up the menu once, and members then choose roles by selecting an option, without needing to ask a moderator. The bot is controlled with prefix commands rather than slash commands, so setup happens by typing messages in a channel where staff have permission to use it.

The setup flow is guided by a help command that explains how to create and configure the role menu. Staff can customize the text of the embed message, so the wording and instructions members see can match the server's tone. The bot also reports its uptime and basic statistics, which helps staff confirm it is running and see how long it has been online.

The bot uses presence intent, which means it reads its own presence status; this is part of how it operates and should be enabled when the bot is added. Typical for this kind of bot, it needs permission to manage roles and to send messages and embeds in the channel where the menu is posted, and its own role must sit above the roles it hands out. Members only interact with the menu; all configuration is done by staff through prefix commands.
