Verification Bot

Verification Bot is a moderation helper for Discord servers that want a simple, automatic way to deal with spam. It reads through the channels in the server and watches for repeated or disruptive posting. When it detects spam, it gives the person who posted it a warning. If the same person spams again, the bot mutes them for five minutes so the conversation can settle down.

The bot works in the background, so members do not need to do anything to benefit from it. Staff do not need to issue every warning or mute by hand; the bot handles the first warning and the follow-up mute on its own. This suits servers where moderators are not always online and want a consistent response to repeat spam.

Setup is limited to adding the bot and letting it see the channels it should watch. Because the bot needs to read messages and apply mutes, it requires permission to view channels, read message history and manage member roles or timeouts. Server owners should check that the bot's role sits above the roles of members it may need to mute.
