What it does

This is a moderation bot built around staff workflows: applications, role assignment and per-role command permissions. Members interact with it mostly through a staff application flow. A staff member runs the staff command against an applicant, marks the application accepted or denied, and adds an optional note. The bot then posts a custom embedded message that mentions the applicant and congratulates them on acceptance. Staff can set up and customise that message from inside the server rather than editing anything outside it.

Role management is handled with a role command that grants a specific role to a user. Access to that command is itself controlled by permissions: you can decide that only holders of a particular role may use it, so role granting stays with the people you trust. The same permission editing applies per role, letting you choose which roles can use which commands. The bot also supports a settable prefix, so commands can be run with a short prefix instead of a slash if you prefer.

Job and team roles such as staff, law enforcement, fire and content teams can be added or removed as options, and the whole configuration is managed through commands in the server, so more roles and commands can be added later. A poll command lets staff post polls for the community.

Questions about PHLA SUPPORT BOT

What happens when staff accept an application?

A staff member runs the staff command, chooses accepted or denied, picks the applicant and can add a note. On acceptance the bot posts a custom embedded message that mentions the user and congratulates them. The wording of that message is set up and edited from within the server.

How do I stop ordinary members from using the role command?

Access is controlled by per-role permissions. You can restrict the role command so only members holding a chosen role, such as a staff role, can run it. The same permission editing lets you decide which roles can use other commands as well.

Can we use a normal prefix instead of slash commands?

Yes. A prefix command lets you set the bot's prefix, so commands can be typed with a short prefix instead of a slash. Both styles are available, and the prefix can be changed again later from inside the server if your staff prefer one over the other.
